John H. Tanner, age 76 of Christmas, Florida passed away March 6, 2018. He was born in Orlando, Florida on May 12, 1941. John attended Boone High School. He was married to Annie Jean Williams on November 26, 1959. John worked as a nuisance hog/alligator trapper and cattle rancher. He was a member of Lockwood Missionary Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Jean; 2 daughters, Cheryl (Rob) Boulware and Sheila (Jeff) Cheatham; 5 grandchildren, Justin (Hayley) Cheatham, Matthew (Amanda) Cheatham, Shane Boulware, Shae (Luke) Asby and Seth Boulware; great grandson, Gunnar Cheatham and 1 brother, Bill Tanner; and 1 sister, Hazel Baxter. John was preceded in death by his father Emmett Oliff Tanner, Sr., mother Daisy Nettles Tanner, brothers Morris Tanner, Coy, Alton and LaVerne Yates, Emmett Tanner, Jr., a sister Elna Tanner Hawley and a great granddaughter Hannah Rose Asby. Graveside Service will be held 3:00PM, March 11, 2018 at Chuluota Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM – 8:00PM Saturday March 10, 2018 at Baldwin Fairchild Oviedo Chapel.
