Evelyn Lillie Roth

Evelyn L. Roth, precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother, aged 92 of Oviedo, FL went to the arms of Jesus on May 20th, 2018. Evelyn was born on October 5th, 1925 in Binghamton, NY to Faye and Mildred Fox. Evelyn married the love of her life, Morris Roth, on September 14th, 1946. Together they had three much loved children. After her husband’s untimely death in 1970, Evelyn went to work at IBM where she had a career lasting 17 years in a variety of roles in the personnel organization. Evelyn loved to sing and spent several years in Sweet Adeline’s. She excelled as a wonderful cook and homemaker and made every holiday special for her family. She was the center of her family and was an endless source of encouragement, wisdom and strength to both her children and grandchildren. When she moved to Florida in 1999 to be near her daughters, she kept busy helping care for her grandchildren and enjoyed Mahjong, Red Hat Ladies, theatre groups along with being active at church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Mildred Fox, her beloved husband, Morris Roth, her dearly loved son Lanny Roth and brother Ivan Fox. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Shelley (Michael) Dever and Kimberly (Chris) Watson and a sister Frances Bazaar. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin Roth, Tyler Dever, Matthew Dever, Courtney (Chad) Macuszonok and Connor Watson. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Cole Macuszonok and her namesake Cate Evelyn Macuszonok. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 AM at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, NY. She was deeply loved and will live on in the hearts of so many she touched.
