Anita was preceded in death by parents Mart and Wauneta Abbott, survived by her husband George of
51 years, her brother Alan with wife Waynetta, her four children: daughter Amy Jo with husband
Charles, daughter Christina, son Jesse with wife Madeline and daughter Katie and five grandchildren:
Alex, Lillyauna, Micah, Jacob and Lucy.
Born December 5th, 1951, and raised in the rural farm town of Agra, Kansas.
She lived all across the United States raising a Navy family with George from the rolling wheat fields of Nebraska to the shores of the Hawaiian Islands to the bustle of the Chicago burbs to the beaches of San Diego to the pine forests of South Carolina, finally nestling in the central Florida community of Chuluota.
Anita brought smiles to many through her bread and cookie baking, creative crafting of dolls and clothing, and tending to gardens bountiful with flowers and vegetables.
Vince Gill could be heard from the rooms where she relaxed.
She had unwavering faith in God and loved the Church and fellowship that it brings to the community.
Her warm heart, soft demeanor and unconditional love defined a family; she leaves a legacy of strength, resilience, and unwavering faith.
She was a kind, gentle, smiley, wonderful gift to this world and leaves a great void in the hearts of the family and friends who were a part of her life.
A visitation for Anita will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at First Church Oviedo, 263 King Street, Oviedo, FL 32765. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 263 King Street, Oviedo, FL 32765.
