Rodd was born on July 8, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas to Lou and Lillian Anthony. He was founder and CEO of Anthony Construction for over 25 years, providing remarkable remodeling services to many customers who, more than often, became close friends. He was a quiet, kind and thoughtful man, who was always more concerned about the well-being of others than his own.
Rodd surpassed his prognosis by sheer determination, in his desire to remain with his wife of 38 years, Kathleen (O’Connell) Anthony, of the home.
His parents, as well as his sister, Sherry Lantz, preceded him in death. He is survived by and will be sadly missed by his cousin, Michael Herschel, those who worked for him, and by his many O’Connell siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews, his neighbors, his customers and his two best girl friends, Lisa and Pam.
A visitation will be held at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park from 6-8pm, Monday, June 11, 2018.
