Megan was a lover of movies, music, and the written word. She posthumously graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Master's and teaching certificate in English Literature. She dreamt of teaching and passing on her passion of literature to the next generation. She worked as an admissions counselor for the same university helping several classes of new students find their own passion and set goals for their life. She saw beauty everywhere she looked and enjoyed sharing that beauty through her own writing. Megan was an old soul, wise beyond her years, full of laughter, loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
Megan is survived by her father, Kevin Travelstead, her mother, Janie Travelstead, and her sister, Chelsea Gray.
Celebration of Life will be Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Dr., Overland Park, Kansas 66204.
