Marjorie “Mother” left us on February 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Corbett; step-son, James Corbett; and brothers, John and Dan Nolan. She is survived by her three children, Cathy Jenkins, Mary Jahnke and Marc Tarchala; three grandchildren, Leslie McDonald, Billy Jahnke and Steven Tarchala; four great grandchildren, Miles Tarchala, Finn Tarchala, Derrick McDonald and Remi Tarchala.
Marge was born in Chicago Memorial Hospital on January 13, 1931. Her family lived in East Chicago until moving to St. John, Indiana, where they settled next door to her maternal grandparents and they lived there until she was married in 1950.
Marjorie was known for her sweet and kind disposition to her family and friends. Marge’s many aliases included Sweet Lady, Margie, Maggie, Marjorie Ann, Cookie Monster, and of course Mother, Grandmother and GG to her great grandchildren.
Margie was loved and will be missed by all of those who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at the Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W. 87th Street Parkway, Lenexa, Kansas 66219.
