Peggy was born in Chicago IL, to James and Marguerite Chartier and raised in Sioux City, IA, with her siblings, she was the oldest of five. She attended East High and obtained a certificate of cosmetology from the Iowa School of Beauty. She relocated to Kansas City in 1983, where she cultivated many friendships and made lifelong bonds. Peggy met her husband, Elmer Arians, when he was selling jerky at the Old West Expo in Sioux City, IA. They married at the same place they met, the following year. She welcomed her first baby boy, on May 30th of 1992. Their family grew as they welcomed two more beautiful children. She put her heart and soul in to both her family, and her work; Académie Lafayette. She helped build the school and started working there in 2006, after volunteering for many years before that. The family would like to share that she loved you all very much. We believe her soul is free to travel as she wanted.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, James Alfred Chartier; aunts and uncle; and her dog, Mowgli.
