Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on August 1, 2014 at the age of 69. Dear son of the late Rita and Émile Robert. He was the beloved husband of Lucienne, née Baron. Devoted father to Guy (Nathalie), Lise (Rick), Monique (Hector), and Diane (Denis). Adored grandfather to Martine, Martin, Marc, Mélissa, Daniel, Henrie, Émilie, and Danika; and loving great-grandfather to Jacob, Mélodi, and Mario. Roger is survived by his siblings Michel, Yvon, Pierre, Aldéo, Claudette, Bernadette, Hélène, Pauline and Joanne, he is predeceased by his sister Diane and his brother Henrie. Family will receive condolences at Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, on Wednesday, August 6, from 2-5 p.m. and 7 -10 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 7, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sébastien Roman Catholic Church, 1000 rue Frances, Ottawa. A private Interment will be held at a later date. For those who wish to, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Association in Roger’s memory would be appreciated.
