Marie Potvin

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Marie Potvin, on September 11, 2022 at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late Jeanne Ethier and the late Verney Rheaume. She was the beloved wife of Roger Potvin and loving mother of Richard, Daniel (Janice) and Nicole, and proud grandmother of Erin Agostinelli (Roberto), Jodie Potvin (Mike McElroy) as well as her great-grandchild, Skylar Agostinelli. She is survived by her brother Roger as well as many wonderful nephews, nieces, and friends. She was predeceased by her son Richard (Dicker), her brother Gerry, her sisters; Helen and Françoise.

The family would like to thank everyone involved in her care at the Kingston General Hospital (KGH), the Kingston Cancer Clinic and the Bayshore TCU in Amherstview.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal road, Ottawa. The burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 455 Montreal Road, Ottawa, and a celebration of her life will be held at 11:45 AM at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 1 2022 at 2:00 PM at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston.
