Suddenly, on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the age of 72. Predeceased by her parents Jean Thomas Richard and Margaret Richard (nee Maloney). Dear sister of John, Michael, Pierre, Tom and Adele. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Ann and Suzanne. Fondly remembered by Paul Cunningham and many nieces and nephews. Maria worked as a dietician and home economist for a number of groups in both the private and public sectors. She will be greatly missed by the many friends that she made throughout her career and in her private life. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), on Saturday, April 28 from 12-1 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m.
