I remember Ken at 6 as I was the same age.  We went through school and as I recall Ken was a pleasant, brilliant young man. He was a very good friend.  His brother came to visit and we would spend the whole day together visiting in Rouyn Noranda.  His daughter contacted me about the sad news yesterday and I cried.  How short life is.  I would like to express my condolences to Ken’s family. He is now safely in Gods hands.  I’ll be seeing him soon!!

Remembering you with kindness




I am very sorry for the loss of your dad/granddad. He was a very kind and pleasant man. I enjoyed bumping into Ken at the Waterford on many, many occasions when I would be visiting my mom, sometimes when he was motoring around on his new scooter. We would always have nice chats, catching up on family.  And then there was watching the hockey games, with Matt and Greg playing, ... This is the main focus of my memories of Ken, a wonderful family man and someone I came to respect, enjoy, and have special affection for. 

So sorry to hear that Ken passed away. He was a great person very kind and well respected he will be missed. I will miss my hand warmer and his great sense of humor.

Heather and Cheryl, our sincere condolences to you and your families on the passing of your Dad. Ken was a people's person. He enjoyed connecting with relatives and making new acquaintances. Ken and Edna were instrumental in making our 2010 Watson Reunion a reality. So many great memories were made and will be cherished forever. We remained in contact with Ken via phone calls, not as often as we wanted to, and thoroughly enjoyed our conversations.

To Cheryl, Heather and Families:

Lee and I were so fortunate to have Ken and Edna as part of our Family.  We have such wonderful memories of our time together with them.  Your father was so thoughtful not a birthday or holiday would pass without him calling us.  Always a smile and great conversations.  May you Rest In Peace Ken and we can only assume that you are making wonderful music in heaven.

I just have wonderful memories of Ken, sitting on the swing in Heather’s backyard in Riverside South. He was always happy to see me and my family, welcoming us to share some stories, a few drinks and good laughs. He would speak to me in French. He had his special way to say my name….no accent on the « e » and rolled the « r ».  And always with a smile. Loved it. He is a great example of love, strength and resilience. His happiness was contagious. We will miss you. Sincere condolences to the family and friends. 



So sadden to hear of Ken’s passing. Our sympathies to each of you. We were fortunate to make our acquaintance with Ken and the extended Watson family at a reunion at Gerald’s place. He was a relative that we knew we had but we’re always trying to piece the puzzle together, but through an unexpected phone call while he was in Shawville he enquired about the Watson’s and he was told about Gerald and sister Verna living in Shawville. He made a phone call to Gerald asking to meet at a restaurant and the rest was history.  We were able to tie together pieces of our family .relatives. Thank you Ken for reaching us. Memories were made that will
last  a life time.

Ken was such an amazing man and I was fortunate to get to know him at Colonel By Retirement Residence.
We shared many stories and much laughter.
He loved his family dearly and I know you will miss him.
