It is with sadness that we share of the passing of our loved one, Jonathon Kilabuk, who left this world suddenly on Wednesday, July 3rd in Ottawa, at the age of 47. Jonathon was born in Iqaluit, Nunavut, and lived in Pangnirtung. He moved south to live for a time in Beaverton, Ontario, when he was 12. Jonathon was a hard worker and fiercely devoted to those he loved.
Jonathon is predeceased by his late daughters Faith and Rose, and is survived by six dearly loved children: Maata, Jacob, Janice, Grace, Rose, and Avalanne. He is survived by his three grandchildren Kelsey, Gordon, and Nyla, and a fourth one on the way. He is also survived by his mom, Reepa, his step-father Boyd, and his half siblings Steven (Becky), Charlotte (Dakota), Abigail (Nathan), Mark (Emily), and step brothers Christopher and Sean. He is predeceased by his sisters Angela and Kathy. Jonathon also had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him.
We would like to hold onto and share the fond memories of Jonathon. One memory is Jonathon filling the big shoes of his step-father Boyd Carleton these past couple years in cutting the grass, chopping wood, and shovelling snow at the farm. He was a big help and blessing to his mom, Reepa.
We share our condolences with all who knew and loved him, and especially with his children and grandchildren. Aakuluk Jonathon; we will miss you. Rest now in peace 💛
