Jane passed away on May 5, 2023, having had cancer for a brief period. She is survived by her sister Sally. Thanks to the staff and caregivers at Robertson House for all their help and support. Jane had a fun and busy life. Jane worked at Carleton University for thirty three years in the Acquisitions section of the library. After retirement Jane and her sister cruised fourteen times to a variety of places. The two also spent many weeks each summer house sitting in Maine. Nepean Nomads Walking Club encouraged her to walk in every province and many states. Photography, quilting, aquafit, and gardening were several of her hobbies. Sewing and donating quilts to the Victoria Quilts group. Jane will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Those wishing may make a donation to a charity of their choice. Friends may pay their respects at the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa on Saturday, May 13, 2023 after 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. As per Jane's request please no flower arrangements.
