Germaine Chenier

With deep sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Germaine Marie Louise Chenier, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late John Chenier and Adelia Potvin. Germaine was the loving wife of the late Stanley Dempsey Sr. and the devoted mother of the late Mark Dempsey.

Germaine will be forever remembered by her children: Stanley Jr., Linda, Ronald, Diane, and Judy; her grandchildren: Amanda (Shawn), Kathleen, Cody (Karine), Crystal, Alysha, Christina, RJ, Tanya (Tom), Ashley, and Mark; and her great-grandchildren: Amber, Brandon, Chelsea, Nicole, Brayden, Mikayla, Marcus, Rowan, and many others. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In accordance with Germaine's final wishes, there will be no service, and cremation has already taken place. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Montfort Hospital for the kindness, support, and care shown to Germaine during her many stays. In place of flowers, donations in Germaine's honour may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Germaine’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren of which many spent time at CHEO and Ronald McDonald House and a donation to this organization in her name would truly honour her legacy.
