It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frank White, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. Frank passed away peacefully surrounded by family who loved him greatly on December 7, 2024, at the age of 70.
Frank's life was a testament to his warmth, generosity, and commitment to family and friends. His love for Bobs Lake, where he spent over 40 wonderful years enjoying nature, boating, and sharing time with loved ones, became synonymous with his generous spirit. The door was always open to bring people together, and anyone who had the pleasure of spending time with Frank knew that no one was ever a stranger—whether they were old friends or new acquaintances, Frank welcomed all with open arms and an open heart.
A man of deep integrity and boundless generosity, Frank touched the lives of everyone around him. His kindness knew no bounds, whether in the small acts of helping a neighbor, taking care of a beloved neighbour's pet, or babysitting his nieces/nephew when younger he had a way of making people feel valued and loved.
Frank is greatly loved and survived by his brother, Stephen (Shawn), and sister, Susan (Paul Brennan) and a proud Uncle to his nieces and nephew, Jocelyn (Mitch), Allie (Mat), Kelsey (Cody), and Cameron and his much loved Great Nieces and Nephew Abigail, Ava, Brooklyn and Bennett. His four great nieces and nephew will know his love for them was unmatched, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being part of his extended family.
A celebration of Frank's life will be held at McEvoy Shields Funeral Home (1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa) on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory. There will be a visitation from 9AM to 11AM followed by a funeral service at 11AM.
Frank loved bringing people together, and a reception will follow at 12:30 PM, where all are welcome to share stories, laughter, and the warmth Frank so generously gave to others.
Please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice where it can make a difference. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care provided at Kingston General Hospital, and especially the staff on the Kidd4 floor. The kindness and consideration shown to Frank and the family was beyond expectation.
Frank’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we recall, and the love he so freely gave. He may no longer be with us in person, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Frank. You were truly one of a kind.
