Passed away peacefully at the St-Vincent Hospital, on March 14, 2014, at the age of 70. Dear son of the late Ferdinand Tkalec and the late Katarina Raj. Beloved husband for 43 years of Louise Pélissier. Devoted father of Susan (Tim Olaveson) and Catherine. Adored grandfather of Jacob and Benjamin. Dear brother of Mary (Karl) Klement. Predeceased by his sister Olga (Steve) Hozjan. He also leaves his cousin, Rosemary (Ignac) Kohek, many friends and family. Family will receive condolences starting at 1:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on March 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Racine, Robert & Gauthier (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa) at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
