Francis "Frank" Victor Burns

In the early morning hours of Thursday, January 11, 2024, Frank passed away peacefully at home at the age of 86 years. He was born in Gatineau, Quebec on August 11, 1937 to his parents Frank and Mary Burns (Casey). Frank will be forever missed by his wife of 63 years, Mae (Holmes). Much loved by his sons Robert (Gene), Frank Jr. (Gaby) and his beloved daughter Amanda. Proud grandfather of his precious granddaughter Elizabeth and his step granddaughter Naomi. Survived by his sister Diane (late Gerard) and his sister-in-law Theresa Holmes and his many nieces and nephews. Frank is predeceased by his brother Percy and his sisters Viola, Mary, Eileen, Margaret, Doreen and June. He was very proud of his Godsons Morris Cashman and Donald Blanchette.

A heartfelt thank you to his PSW`s Tina and Frederick and his many other PSW`s and his sitters Sam and Guytre, Dr. Aneel Kausik over the many years and to his nurses Grace, Katrina, Ben and Cynthia for their excellent and compassionate care.

The family will receive relatives and friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary`s Church, 100 Young Street (at Bayswater) on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Jean-Marie Vianney Cemetery in Gatineau, Quebec.
