Loving wife of 64 years to the late Marcel "Des", devoted mother of Barry (Brenda), Sharon Picard (Karl), Tracey Desormeaux-Ienzi (Achille), and the late Theresa. Proud grandmother to Corey (Chanelle), Travis (Heather), Krista (Kiefer), Kallie (Shawn), Dante, Christiano and Matteo and seven, soon to be eight, great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her mother, Helen (Nellie) McCambley and father, Austin Henry Sr., and by siblings Colleen (late Tony), Austin (late Muriel), Billy (Isobel) and Clarence (Jill).
Will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters, Patrick (Mavis), Kevin (late Marie), Rita (Jules), Helen, Aileen (Paul), and Terry (Sue). Eva will be greatly missed by her many nephews and nieces.
Eva had a generous heart and welcomed everyone into her home as her own. She had an unconditional love that was unwavering and her infectious laugh filled every room. She saw the best in everyone and enjoyed every cherished moment life offered. Eva had a deep impact on many lives throughout multiple generations of her family leaving behind many cherished memories. She was an incredible and wise woman and an amazing mother, who continually nurtured and guided us throughout her entire life.
Our utmost heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ruth Farey and the staff at Oakpark Retirement Community, especially the 2nd floor, for their care and genuine compassion for our mother. You helped make a very heartbreaking time more bearable.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday May 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Venosta QC, Interment Saint Martin's Cemetery, Martindale QC.
