Dennis Kin Tse passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 26, 2018 at the May Court Hospice. Beloved husband of Maria Sevaptsidis; loving father of Katrina and Sofia. Dennis was the loving son of the late Wah Tse and was predeceased by his loving mother Fei Gan Cheung. He was the beloved brother of Alan and Julia. He will also be missed by many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and a multitude of friends.
Family and friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) Ottawa. On Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Born on December 29, 1964 in Hong Kong, Dennis immigrated to Canada at the age of 8 and grew up amongst his first cousins here in Ottawa. The bond they created still remains to this day. His curiosity and thirst for knowledge had no bounds and his love of learning brought him to study in different fields. He completed his first year at Carleton University in architecture and then realized he wanted to understand the meaning of life. This brought him to study in the field of art and theology. He then furthered his studies by attending The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and began his practice as a Chiropractor in Ottawa for a while. When the computer field exploded, he found the joy of working in the computer industry too great and made a career move to the computer world and never looked back!
Dennis loved life and had a big bucket list. If it was for him, he would have loved to become a pilot, own a boat so that he could sail around the world and much more! He was soft spoken with a kind soul and enjoyed being with the people he cared for. What he enjoyed the most was to spend time with his family. We created many special memories together. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dennis may be made to the May Court Club of Ottawa with the request for the donations to be directed to The May Court Hospice is greatly appreciated. Cards for the donations are available at the funeral home.
A special thank you to family and friends who have shown so much love and support during this most difficult time. The family wishes to also express a special thanks to The May Court Hospice staff and The Ottawa General hospital radiation/oncology unit.
