Retired – PIPSC
It is with broken hearts after a courageous battle with cancer that we announce the passing of Anne McBride (nee Berton) with her husband Len by her side, on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the age of 62. Predeceased by her father Eugene Berton and mother Jeanne Berton(nee Labonte) of Sudbury. She leaves behind the love of her life, husband and best friend of 39 years Len. Loving mother to Matthew and Lisa (Robbie) and loving grandmother to Nathan and Ethan. Loving sister to Maurice Berton, Pauline (Leslie) Gabos, Roger (Joanne) Berton, Suzanne Berton, Lise Berton Lavoie, Monique Berton Mercier (Pierre), Gilles Berton and Jocelyne Berton.
Anne always had a smile on her face and an appreciation to live life to the fullest. She was most loving and caring to her husband, children and grandchildren. One of her happiest things to do was spend time with her precious grandchildren who she adored. She also loved deeply her entire family often visiting and checking on them. Her free spirit and smile shone brightly! Always concerned for others and not herself! The many friends she had were for life as she was just that loyal. Many crafts and hobbies kept her busy all the time. She never stopped and created many crochet and knitting items as well as kit drawings that were spectacular. Boundless energy to do the things she loved. In her spare time she would go to movies or shows and go to restaurants and spend quality time with friends and family.
In her professional career she worked at Pipsc for approx 24 years where she worked for many sections and truly loved a change and a challenge. She was an absolute perfectionist in her duties and always was a true professional doing her duties with pride. At work she maintained many great friendships that were hers for life. Then she retired after many years of dedicated service and felt accomplished.
She loved being in nature one of her favourite spots was Petrie Island walking the trails with her dear sister Monique and also her husband Len. She loved going on road trips wherever and soaking it all in. Also spending summers at the trailer by the lake having a great time swimming, walking, relaxing or reading a book. The most important things in her life was the love she had for her husband of 39 years Len, her son, daughter and precious grandkids. She loved her siblings more than they knew. Her best friends she treasured dearly. Anne will always be loved and remembered and forever missed! God bless our sweet angel!
