Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at the age of 66. Beloved wife of George for 32 years. Loving mother of Jason Martin (Tanya Turry), Dawn Johnson (Shawn) and Scott Lackey (Lee Mayer). Cherished Nanna of Alexis Martin, Alysha and Josh Johnson, Hannah and Sofie Mayer-Lackey. Great grandmother of Abygail Johnson. Dear sister of Kathy Gardner. Predeceased by her twin sister Sharon Maddock and her parents Eleanor and Lawrence McPeek. Loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, friend and second mother to many. She was always there for everyone and always put others before herself. Karen loved to spend her time in the gardens; always lending a helping hand. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, May 22nd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 23rd at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
