Frances Robertson

Peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at 94 years of age. Beloved wife of the late John Robertson. Dear mother of John and Sandra; Ted and Shirley; Janice and Brian Benn; and Glenn and Anita. Sister of Don Frayne. She will be lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. While her children were growing up, she was an active leader in the 8th Oshawa Boy Scouts auxiliary and provided support for all camps and hikes. She was also active in the Northminster United Church auxiliary and worked tirelessly at their banquets and auctions. She was a cheerful face in Bowring’s and Boukema’s stores at the Oshawa Center. Later in life, she was the primary care-giver for her husband, John. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, July 27th from 4:30 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 6:30 p.m. All who knew her and wish to join in this celebration of her life, are welcome. Interment will be at Mount Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated.
