Surrounded by love and family Cala passed away peacefully and was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord. Daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Mott. Loving wife of James Dimitroff. Devoted and proud mother of Shelley Chamberlain (Scott Faulkner), Roberta Jagoe (Chris), Danny (Donna Sadowski ) and Susan (Allen Bachman). Loving Lala to Joshua Chamberlain, Emily Faulkner, Catherine Jagoe, and Michael Jagoe. Cala will be dearly missed by her sister Jeananne Ralph (Jack), and brothers David Mott (Cathy Fitzgerald) and Robert Mott (Ruth Anne). Sister in law of Eva O’Leary and Ben Stephenson. Predeceased by sister in law and friend Dorothy Mott. Beloved Auntie Cala to many nieces and nephews and will be missed by numerous friends, former students, and extended family. Cala, a proud Newfoundlander, retired Professor Emeritus in 2013 after more than 40 years from Durham College and will forever be remembered for her passion of teaching and love of her students. Cala’s dedication to her profession touched the lives of many who will always be grateful for her guidance and encouragement to better themselves and succeed in life. Our world has changed as we have lost an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend but our world has also been enriched for having had her in it. Always the Angels of Your Heart, Mom, we will take you with us wherever we go as we journey on. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. W. (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, November 30th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Thursday, December 1st from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, (373 Simcoe St. S, Oshawa) on Friday, December 2nd, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and in love and kindness, memorial donations can be made to the Cala Dimitroff Scholarship at Durham College at www.durhamcollege.ca/office-of-development/giving-to-dc.
