Albert George Harris

After 90 happy fulfilling years, our father peacefully passed away Sunday, May 19th, 2013, surrounded by his two loving sons Ronnie & Billy. Albert was born in Oshawa in 1922 to George and Anne Harris (nee Starr). Dad served in the army where he met and married Marjorie Dobson of Debert, Nova Scotia. They returned to Oshawa and built their house together in 1955. Sons Ronnie & Billy were born in 1958 and 1960. Mom & Dad enjoyed many great holiday destinations, and their trailer in Beautiful Buckhorn for many years. They also enjoyed the Foresters for dancing, camping, bowling and met many many great lifelong friends. Dad "The Shark" enjoyed Euchre and played for many years. Predeceased by his wife Marjorie, who will be interred also.Albert is survived by two older sisters and his two loving sons. Dad was loved by all who met him. Thanks to all those friends who made Dad's life more fun! Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, May 21st from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 22nd at 2:30 p.m. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery.
