Stewart R. Mundis, 88, of Flagler Beach, FL, passed away on March 20, 2012 at the Flagler Pines Nursing Home, Bunnell, FL. Stewart was born on September 10, 1923 in York County, PA to the late Stewart S. and Anna (Richmond) Mundis. Stewart served in the United States Navy and was a WWII Veteran. He worked as a Field Service Rep for Allis-Chalmers, retiring after 33 years. Stewart was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flagler Beach where he was a Deacon and member of the choir. He was a Mason and a member of the White Rose Lodge 0706. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and he was a rock hound. Stewart is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Almeda Mundis. Additional survivors include his 5 children, Keith Mundis (Vicky); Cindy Davis (Frank); Karen Walker (Jackie); Kevin Mundis (Katherine); and Toby Mundis; his 9 grandchildren; and his 7 great-grandchildren. Stewart was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Case and his daughter-in-law, Lisa Mundis. Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, with the Funeral Service at 2:30 pm on Saturday, March 24th in Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Interment will follow the Funeral Service in Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL.
