James H. Evans, 78, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away March 28, 2017. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on September 13, 1938. Jim graduated from South Dade High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University. He was married to Sandra Evans. His entrepreneurial spirit led to the creation of Adventures In Learning Daycare in Ormond (known to many as "Coach"), Castle Adventure Maze in Daytona, among many other businesses. He was even called the "Ice Man" for his self-serve ice vending machines in Lake City. He had a passion for golf and pickle ball. He is survived by his children Anna Marie Evans, James William & Ellen Evans, Pamela Evans; grandchildren Michelle & Jacob Harris, Megan Evans, and James Evans; twin sister Judy Clifford, siblings Patricia Steader, Larry & Theresa Evans, Kent Evans, Tommy & Mary Evans, and many nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be held March 31, 2017 at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N Central Ave, Flagler Beach, FL at 1:00 pm with a visitation starting at 12:00 noon.
