Barbara Ann Evans, 82, of Ormond Beach was called by the Lord on Friday, February 14, 2014. She was born in August, 1931, and raised in Michigan where she met and married her husband Eric. They have two children - Daughter Debbie in Michigan and Son Jim in Richmond, Virginia. They also have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
During their lifetime, Barb and Eric spent many vacations in Florida, eventually buying a home in Palm Coast. In 1987, Eric retired and they moved permanently to this area.
Barbara pursued many different hobbies. She became very proficient in stained glass work and ceramics. She tried her hand at upholstering furniture and extended her talent to upholstering automobiles. She and Eric became very active in the antique car hobby in Michigan and restored many cars, one of them a national trophy winner. They also enjoyed ballroom dancing through which they expanded their social life and established many lasting friendships.
Barb passed away on Valentines Day, the day devoted to love. The love between Eric and Barb will last forever. We will celebrate that love and her life on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00AM, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach. A luncheon will follow at the Club House in Hunter’s Ridge.
