She was predeceased but her husband Thomas Guy Whitesell and born to the late Florence Lillian and George Richard Warrek in Puerto Rico on April 9, 1931.
She graduated from the High School of Commerce in New York City in 1947 while also studying under Aubrey Hitchens, pursuing her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. She achieved her dream, touring the country performing with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, and later opened her own dance studio in New York and taught for many years while also raising her family. She was an accomplished designer and creator of jewelry, represented in galleries in New York and on Cape Cod where she resided at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her four children: Susan and Dominic Pandolfino of Montrose, NY; Gregg and Andrea Whitesell of Mohegan Lake, NY; Thomas and Sally Whitesell of Greenville, SC; and Christina Whitesell and beloved dog Millie of Eastham, MA. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Justin, Lindsay, Andrew, Avery, Elaine, Frankie, Emily, and TJ, as well as 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Smile Train.
A memorial service will be held at a future date at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
