Mrs. Judith Ann Rose

Judith Rose, 85, of Brewster, MA, passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, on Thursday, February 9th, 2024. Her daughter and son were able to let her know she was loved. She was the beloved wife to Sewell for 58 years, mother to son Michael (husband to Martha Marno), grandmother to William, daughter Patricia and Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the sister to Arthur Klein, III (husband to Emily).

Judy was raised in Schenectady, NY, and graduated Nott Terrace High School.

In high school Judy was a part of a theatrical group that put on shows and she was known for her skills on roller skates. After graduation Judy worked at G.E. where she met and fell in love with Sewell. Summers on Cape Cod enjoying beach life, boating, and where Judy learned how to fully eat a lobster, including cracking the body open by her father in law.

Judy and Sewell boldly relocated to San Jose, CA, where they enjoyed raising a family and spent time in the sierras to ski. Retirement brought them back to Cape Cod to golf and cruise to far off places including Alaska and Italy. Judy enjoyed making friends wherever she went and after she had heart surgery, donated her time to Mended Hearts assuring other patients that a good life could be had after surgery.

A Visitation will be held in her honor on Thursday, February 15th from 9:30 am - 10:00 am at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Rd., Orleans, MA, burial will conclude at 1:45 pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Connery Ave, Buzzards Bay, MA. The mass and the burial will be available for viewing online: www.nickersonfunerals.com.

Judy will join Sewell at the National Cemetery under the marker “No Thorns, Just Roses” in plot number 57 1697.
