John was born to the late John and Louise Vincent in Hartford, CT on August 29, 1945. He attended Westminster School and graduated from Simsbury High School. He married Nancy J. Chambless in 1968 and they lived in Simsbury, CT before moving to Orleans in 1978.
John was a contractor salesman for Mid Cape Home Centers for 45 years. He was a loyal employee and an accomplished salesman who loved his job.
John was an avid Beach Boys fan for over 60 years, attending many concerts. He was a life-long supporter of both the San Francisco 49ers and current World Series Champions, Texas Rangers. John loved collecting wampums at Nauset Beach and taking his dog Sally for walks at Skaket Beach. He liked to say “When I am at the beach, everything is just beautiful”.
Known for his quick wit and clever quips, John had an unparalleled ability to find humor in even the most challenging situations. Beyond his humor, John was a cherished friend, a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and cousin.
John is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Nancy, his son John and wife Tracie Vincent of Eastham, MA; daughter Lisa & husband John Gagnon of Barnstable, MA; daughter Christie & husband David Glynn of Devens, MA and daughter Carrie & husband Jonathan Crosby of Flemming Island, FL. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Lousie Vincent and his brothers P. Terry Vincent and Mark W. Vincent.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Brewster location.

Celebration of Life, Friday, December 22, 3:00-5:00, Hog Island Brewery, Orleans, MA. The Celebration of Life will be Beach Boys themed, all are welcome to dress in this casual spirit.
