Jim was born in Ridgewood, NJ on October 24, 1953 to the late John and Wilma Henry. He grew up in Glen Rock, NJ and graduated from Glen Rock High School in 1972 where he excelled in baseball and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2016 as part of the 1972 team that went to the State Championship. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 1978. Jim married his UNH sweetheart Lucinda Nash in 1979 and they started their family in Warwick, NY.
Following graduation, Jim joined Henry Brothers Electronics (HBE), the business started by his father and uncles in 1950. In 1989, he acquired HBE and led the company’s growth as a premier security integrator before bringing it public on NASDAQ in November 2001. Jim served as the Chairman and CEO until HBE merged with Kratos Defense and Security Solutions in 2010. Jim was inducted into the Security Sales & Integration Hall of Fame in 2014 where he was recognized as an outspoken industry advocate who willingly shared opinion and information unselfishly to help raise professionalism.
Jim was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Warwick where he had served as a member of the vestry. He loved spending time with his family at their home in Brewster, MA walking his dog Lily, as well as many memorable trips to Disney World and NJ Devils hockey games. He was in his element in his garden and on his tractors.
Jim is survived by his wife Lucinda and their four children: Christian (Sarah) of Fairfield, CT, Jonathan (Kelly) of Bellvale, NY, Alexander (Maeve) of Bloomfield, NJ and Arianna of Warwick, NY. He is also survived by his sister Nancy (Ramzy) and brother Mark (Lesley) of Brewster, MA and three grandchildren: Evelyn Rose, Ryan James and Connell James.

Services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday, April 28 at Christ Episcopal Church, 50 South St, Warwick, NY. Burial will be at a later date in Brewster, MA.
