Bruce Allan Scott of Yarmouth Port passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He was born May 28th, 1928 in Gary, Indiana. He was predeceased by his parents, Elsie and Eugene Scott and eldest son Douglas Dixson Scott. Bruce is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elsa Sveden Scott, son Jeffrey and his wife Amy, their two boys Brody and Owen and Douglas's two daughters Katherine Fielder and Danielle Scott. Bruce was a 1951 graduate of Purdue University in Chemical Engineering. He went to work for 3M in Minnesota, then to Connecticut to work at Royal/Litton and several divisions of United Technologies including working on the space booster rockets in Huntsville, AL then back to Connecticut until retirement. While in Connecticut his spare time was spent as a Ski Instructor in the winter playing golf and doing taxes for H&R Block. Retirement to Cape Cod kept him busy as he continued with H&R Block, the Retired Men's Club (which included bowling and golf), volunteering at the home games of the Y-D Red Sox, delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in the Osprey Room. Services will be private.
