What a blessing that God saw fit to let us be part of the life of Robert (Bobbi) McCree. He was a loving husband, brother, son, friend, and family. We all loved his warm and pleasant demeanor. He will be missed but remembered and cherished in our hearts. Dear Netta, we are all with you during this time!

I am so sorry to hear of the transition of my Friend and Brother. For many years, Robert was a faithful member of the Greater Refuge Temple Radio Choir singing Bass. It was a pleasure to know him with that Gentle smile he had. Always being pleasant. My prayers are with the family as you go through this difficult time. Mr. McCree was a good man that I had the opportunity to work with at East River High School.  He shared so many stories about his days in New York and many other life lessons that I needed to hear. He talked about his wife everyday and I could see the joy in his face every time he mentioned her. The best thing about Mr. McCree was the mere fact that Jesus was his Lord and Personal Savior and that is his greatest testimony. I thank God for allowing us to work together and talk about life because God knew what he was doing. My prayers and condolences to all of his family and friends. May God comfort you and may God be your Jehovah Shalom every time you all call on him…

My uncle would always reach out to me, and we would talk about everything. He had a sense of humor that was out of this world. He always kept things positive and enjoyed life to the fullest. When we would talk, he gave me words of wisdom and always had my back. I was so excited when Uncle Rob and Netta told me they were thinking about moving out to Texas. When he told me, I was super excited. I just knew we were going to be hanging tough all the time. But the Lord had other plans for Uncle Rob.
This right here is a hard pill to swallow right now. But I know that he is in a better place and now side by side with his Favorite Sister and Father. May you Sleep in Peace Uncle Rob. Until we meet again. I LOVE YOU!

Robert and I met at work in the 1990’s. We were corrections officers assigned at Rikers Island in NYC. I later transferred to another facility in Manhattan and advices Robert to do the same. There was much less stress working in the Manhattan jail instead. On the weekends Robert and I would drive up to the country mountains of NY exploring the late night views of the suburbs  listening  to late night jazz music, and peering at the moon shining up in the late night sky talking and reflecting on our futures and our pasts. We talked on the phone daily, exchanging ideas, how to deal with life. And we talked about our experiences in life with the Lord too, we constantly talked about having a relationship with the Lord allowed us to make it through so many difficult times, to be able to make the best choices throughout those difficult moments in our lives in the Lord. Robert and I became brothers, brothers in Christ. After our retirements from corrections Robert moved down to Florida. I remained in New York because of my daughter and son who needed me to be close by. But, Robert and I continued communicating often anyway. Robert tried to persuade me to move to Florida or even visit, but I resisted the idea because of so much going on with my daughter and her legal and personal issues, I needed to be near her constantly. She was a young ‘challenge’.  Robert understood though. One day his daughter ‘passed away’ which deeply affected Robert and we talked about it as long as he wanted too. We encouraged each other, and he was satisfied his daughter went to be with the Lord and we would all meet again in ‘that great day.’ Robert always spoke about how much he loved his wife too. He was so happy taking care of his wife. Robert was very proud of his wife. Robert would say that his wife was the greatest woman he ever met, he would say that over and over again. In contrast to what he met before. Eventually I was looking forward to traveling to see Robert and his family. Lord bless
