Born on June 2, 1934 in the beautiful mountains of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Maria LeMoine came into the world as the seventh of nine children born to Pedro Perez Reyes and Josefina Negron. She lived a full life of 90 yrs before being laid to rest in Orlando, Florida, on June 14, 2024, where memories of her will be forever cherished.
Maria LeMoine was a remarkable woman. In search of a brighter future, she ventured to New York and there met her husband, Julio Lemoine. They were married on December 20, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York and together they built a fulfilling life. Maria was a wonderful wife, a loving and caring mother, a trustworthy friend, a devout woman of faith, always there for those in need. She was an amazing cook and her delicious cooking was a source of joy for many. After Julio's passing in 1981, Maria's unwavering dedication shifted to her children and grandchildren, showering them with love and support.
In 1984, Maria moved to Meriden, Connecticut, to live with her eldest daughter. It was there in 1986 that she fully embraced her faith in Jesus Christ. Her dedication to God remained constant throughout her life. Maria's love for God was matched by her love for helping others. She was known for offering words of counsel and encouragement, a source of strength for those around her.
In 2005, Maria relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, with her youngest daughter. After spending some time there, she eventually moved in with her eldest daughter in Orlando, Florida. Family was Maria's greatest joy, and she cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. Their evenings were often filled with laughter during game nights of cards, dominoes, and bingo. When not spending time with family, Maria enjoyed watching her favorite Spanish TV shows, the Price is Right game show, and indulging in her love of shopping.
Maria's strength shone even brighter during her sixteen-year battle with cancer and other illnesses. Despite facing these challenges, she never complained about her pain or allowed them to dampen her spirit. When asked about her well-being, Maria would always respond with a simple "fine," a testament to her extraordinary resilience. After a courageous fight, Maria passed away, surrounded by the love of her family who remained by her side until the very end.
Maria is survived by 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 6 grandchildren in laws, 1 brother, and nieces and nephews.
