Joseph Aloysius D’Aloia of Nocatee passed away peacefully December 10th 2022 just 8 days shy of his 101st birthday. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY December 18, 1921 and served honorably as a USMC Raider in the Solomon islands during WWII. He raised a family in Queens and Staten Island NY before retiring as a Printer from Van Reese Press and moving to Orlando, FL in 1980 where he worked for the Orange County School Board for many years. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He moved to Ponte Vedra in 2012 with his daughter and son-in-law.
Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda, daughter Diane (Wade), Parents Arthur and Marie, siblings Anthony, Emanuel, Arthur, Victoria (Klages) and Rose Marie (Russo).
He is survived by his children, Dennis (Diane) D’Aloia of Long Beach NY, and daughters Victoria (Robert Maida) and Linda (Bill Holmes) of Clearwater and Jacksonville, his wonderful son-in-law Ed Wade who cared for him for many years, his grandchildren Marianne (Mike Wicks), Laurie (Joe Regina), Loraine (Bill Alif), Robin May, Joseph Maida, Michael Maida and Alex Holmes, his great-grandchildren Tessa & Miranda Negron, Jessica Wade, Emily May, Gianna & Sophia Regina, Mia & Miles Wicks and Landen Maida. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and a great-grandson.
His viewing will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 1413 South Semoran Blvd., Orlando, Florida from 5-7 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2022. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, December 19, 2002 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
