José Rodríguez

He was born on September 9, 1934 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Candida Velez and Jose L. Rodriguez.

He met his beloved wife, Isabel, while visiting a friend in Brooklyn, and upon making each other's acquaintance, talked the whole day away.

They have been married for 64 years with a beautiful family, and Isabel's eyes still shine when she talks about him.

Jose was their Renaissance Man -- there was nothing he didn't want to learn or try, and when he did, he insisted upon precision and excellence!

He rose to the position of Sales Manager with Prudential Financial, and even created the First Federal Credit Union for Transfiguration Catholic Church in Brooklyn, New York.

His garden bloomed with the talent and commitment of his hands, and he deeply appreciated the beauty in nature & art.

When he brought craftsmen into his home to do a job, they ended up learning from Jose, using his beautiful tools, and having lunch together!

Jose gave generously all around him, and when he spoke truth in a teaching moment, he did so as a gentleman.

His family can never say enough about him and will cherish the memories they made together forever.

He is survived by his adoring wife, Isabel;

Cole.
