Iris Maria Hernandez

Iris Maria Hernandez, was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, June 14, 1928 and has passed away this past Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the age of 85. Iris was the daughter of Francisco Hernandez and Isabel Andreu, who were also born in Puerto Rico.

Iris moved to the town of Cataño, Puerto Rico. At the age of 24 she then married Luis R Santiago in 1951. They were married for over 60 years and had two sons.

Iris worked as Office Manager for a company named Navedo and Felony Inc. until her retirement. In 1995 Iris and her husband, Luis (known as “Santi”) decided to move to Orlando, Florida where their sons and grandkids lived. She was a very active member and officer of her church Disciples of Christ in Kissimmee, Florida. She was always willing to give a hand to all those in need. Iris always had encouraging words of knowledge.

Iris Hernandez two surviving sons are Luis Roberto Santiago and Francisco Santiago.

Iris also has surviving sisters and one brother. Her sisters are Haydee, Doris and Lucy. Her brother is Jose Francisco.

Grandchildren are: Lianabelle Pinero, Roberto J Santiago, Michelle M Santiago, Samuel Santiago, Daniel Santiago, Lizzie Santiago, Ivonne Santiago and Kristina Santiago.

Great -grandchildren: Alberto Pinero, Jr., Isabel Pinero, Anabella Pinero and Daniel Santiago, Jr.

Step-Grandkids: Carlos E. Perez and Jonathan Perez
