He was born on January 10, 1942 in Mariupol, Russia to the late Pawel Solovjov Samochlalowa and Anna Letunovski of Solovjov.
By trade, Evgenij worked as a talented and passionate Merchant Marine. Beyond this successful career, those who knew him well knew Evgenij as hardworking, authentic, loyal, and ethical, with high moral values. In addition, he had a great sense of humor, an extremely positive attitude, and could be counted on to be proactive, resourceful, an innovative creative thinker, author, and generous, caring, and kind while he did all those things. In his free time, Evgenij enjoyed cooking, and being a full time grandparent.
He will be dearly missed.
Evgenij is survived by his loving wife, Rosanna Iaiza; children, Alejandro Solovjov, Larisa Watkins, Jorge Solovjov; and grandchildren, Ana Solovjov, Andrew Solovjov, Nicolas Solovjov, Alfie Timothy Watkins, and Valentina Solovjov.
