Peggy Larue Keebler-Clifford made her way to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family, on November 28, 2015. She was born Peggy Larue Moss April 8, 1936 in Cyril, OK to Charles and Willa Mae Moss. Peggy grew up in Cyril, Oklahoma and graduated Salutatorian from Cyril High School in 1954. After high school, she continued her education at the Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, graduating with honors in 1958 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and English. While in college, she met the love of her life, George Matthew Keebler, and they were married on January 28, 1957 (he preceded her in death Feb. 2002). Peggy and George were married 45 years and had 5 children.
Peggy was a Chorus Director, Band Director and Elementary School Teacher, spanning 3 states, Iowa, Nebraska and Florida over more than 4 decades. Her most recent employer was Seminole County, Florida, where she taught as Choral Music Director at Lakeview Middle School and Croons, both in Sanford, and most recently Indian Trails Middle School in Winter Springs, where she retired in the spring of 2004. It is also noteworthy that she was a solo airplane pilot, and CDL Class A tractor trailer driver, both of which she did as a hobby and summer time job with her husband George. Living many of her years on the family farm in Iowa, Peggy was just as comfortable riding a horse, a motorcycle or tractor as she was sitting on a piano bench or in a church pew. She loved and lived her life to the fullest.
After retirement in 2004, she met and married Glen Clifford and was married to him until his death April 2013. At the time of their marriage, her family expanded to include Glen, his 5 children, Gregory Clifford (Kelly), Melanie Rohling (Ted), Gail Pavlovsky (Edward who preceded her in death in 2004), Susan Narvaiz (Miguel) and Mark Clifford (Robin), and their families, including 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Willa Mae Moss, her husband George Keebler, and her infant daughter, Ricky Lynn Keebler. She is survived by her children Kristi Keebler (Mary Epright), Kelly Keebler (Teresa), Kimberly Keebler and Kevin Keebler (Calin), her 6 grandsons, Joshua Keebler (Tiffany Wilson), Kurt Keebler (Jennifer), Roberto Rodriguez (Aly Keener), Ethan Keebler, Clayton Keebler and Kipp Keebler, her 3 great-grandsons, Kael Keebler, Kade Keebler and Elijah Keebler, her cousin Eleanor Strecker (Richard) and many other cousins, nieces and nephews nationwide.
Peggy will most be remembered for her infectious smile and laughter. Faith, Family, Children and Music were her passions.
