i'll will miss you mike. got some good memories that i'll hold dear. i kept expecting you to come back to haleiwa some day, as you had planned. you are widely loved.

Michael Fry was my big cuzin. He actually didn't like when my brothers and I called him Fry. We called him Michael or cuzin Mike. He was so dam cool and so dam smart, growing up. He made it so ez to  look up to him man. He showed us all the excellent things in the world including how to surf and how to love.  My dad, Michael's uncle Bob truly loved Mike as a son. Even my dad who was always fun to be around would be even more fun when Mike was in town. I can write forever and still not encompasses the type of life Michael lived! In 100 years when people look back, they will see the year you were born on your head stone followed by a dash and the year you died. Michael's dash should stretch for miles. He would want us to go out and live! What will your dash be filled with? Mine will have plenty of memories of my big cuzin that's for sure! I will love you 5 ever!

I will forever miss my nephew Michael. He was like my oldest son. My heart is broken. His sense of humor, incredible smile and heart that loved so deeply will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in eternal peace in the arms of our Lord. I love you VERY much.

I can’t even believe I’m writing this. Michael and I were together for years in hawaii. What a whirlwind of a relationship that was. We remained very close for 24 years afterwards and his mother Doris became a dear friend through it all… to this day when I received the message that he had passed. Michael was and amazing soul. Excellent surfer (blew me away how good he was) he loved old cars, old music and he would watch Comedy Central for hours. He loved to laugh, he LOVED kids he was so good with kids, I would watch him play all day like a big kid himself. He would have been a wonderful father.  But out of all things Michael loved… it was his mother he loved most.  I will miss him deeply. I have a lot of great photos of Michael. I will add them here soon. I love you Michael,

Mike was not just a coworker but my partner in crime. I'll miss the shenanigans, the jokes to each other, using coasters as Frisbees, pulling pranks on our other coworkers and listening to our own music when we didn't agree with the radio. I'll also miss the talks, the sharing of each other's life experiences and the motivation we gave each other when it was needed. Rest easy my friend

Michael was a coworker but also a great friend. His energy will be missed in this world but will light up the next. We all miss you buddy. Rest in paradise.

I’m going to miss you way more than I thought I would. You made me giggle so hard. Why did you have to go?

Michael had a great sense of humor and fun outlook on life.  He also was very talented in many ways and as we knew at our Rotary events he was as strong as an ox as they say on projects we had to do.

I viewed Michael as a friend and so sorry we lost him so early in his life.

Dear Howard & Doris,

Please accept my sincere condolences. I only knew Michael for a short while as he assisted me with various repair tasks at my home. He impressed me with his kindness and the vast general knowledge that he had acquired over his numerous employment and travel experiences. I was shocked to hear about this tragic loss! 
My heart goes out to both of you for the loss of your Son Michael. I know how much he meant to you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
