Joan P. Larsen Eliason

Joan was born in Port Chester, New York, on September 3, 1942. She became a resident of Florida in 1955, living mostly

in the Delray Beach area. Joan made a career for herself in a family-owned insurance agency. Joan's greatest joys were spending time near the water and also being with each of her children and grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart, along with her beloved dog, Bud. Her pride and joy was her family, who she enjoyed to the fullest.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, James Eliason of DeLand, FL; her children, Wendy Wessel Snyder of Beverly Hills, FL, Gus Wessel (his wife, Beverly) of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Jami Eliason Lennox (her husband, Mike) of Deltona, FL

and Jimmy Eliason.; one brother, Peder Larsen and one sister, Carol Larsen Bigelow; five grandchildren: Melissa, Ashley, Sara, Gus and Ali, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, who all loved her very much.

A private ceremony will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home in Orange City, Florida.

She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends who were blessed to be a part of her life.
