James Koczan, Jr., age 74, of Orange City, Florida passed away on August 5, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents Emrick and Apollonia Koczan, his wife, Rose; sisters Martha Vozar and Sister Mary Lucy Koczan and brother, Joseph Koczan.
He is survived by his companion, Barbara Marceau; sons, James (Roslyn) Koczan of Deltona,FL and David (Roberta) Koczan of Mt. Dora, FL; grandchildren, Christopher and Kendra; a brother, Michael (Judy) Koczan of Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Jeanette Koczan of Pittsburgh, PA and a sister-in-law, Anita Koczan of Shrewsbury, PA and several nieces and nephews.
James was born and raised in Pittsburgh, prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for 20 years with great people. He served in Vietnam, and retired in 1975 with many fond memories of his experiences. He was a loving and caring companion, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 12th at 11:00 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, DeBary, FL 32713. Inurnment with full military honors will be Friday, September 2nd,at 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements were entrusted to Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, Orange City, FL.
