Betty Laura Barron, born January 8, 1932. Mrs. Barron made her journey on November 1, 2017 to spend eternity with her mother and step-father, Velma and Silas Clatterbuck, her beloved husband Landys Barron; her son John Arthur Kolmetz; three brothers; Kenneth Scarbrough, James Scarbrough, and Bobbie Ray Scarbrough; brothers-in-law Rufus Barron and Wayne West.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Wanda Roberts (Bobby) and her three grandsons; John Durocher (Kanoe), Scot Durocher (Tammie), and Anthony Durocher (Heidi); sisters-in-law Helene West, Elaine Barron, Harriet Cox, and Judy Scarbrough. She also leaves behind 8 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born in Elba, Alabama, Ms. Betty spent most of her life in the central Florida area. After her retirement from Publix Super Markets, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and helping raise her three grandsons, who gave her so much joy and laughter with their fun loving antics.
Mom, Mema, Ms. Betty, until we meet again, we love and miss you. You will be in our hearts forever.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday November 6, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. A service to celebrate Ms. Betty’s life is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, Florida 32763. A graveside service will immediately follow the services at Glen Haven Memorial Park, located at 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Florida 32789. Arrangements under the direction of Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, Orange City, FL.
