Bill passed away on January 12, 2013 at home in Ontario. He was born in Riverside, CA on November 3, 1926. He lived in Ontario for 61 years. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was ranked as a Seaman First. He fought in World War II - South Pacific/Battle of Philippine Sea. He worked for Verizon for 37 years as a Special Services Supervisor. At the time of his retirement from Verizon, he was honored with a well attended dinner, presented with a hilarious award "To the Master of Barb Wire Facilities"-an antique glass insulator wrapped in barb wire-he was recognized for years of successful trouble shooting. Bill was a member of the Upland Travelers, SPOT (Seniors Patrolling Our Town (Ontario Police Dept.)), Strawberry Lodge Water Co. Board, in Twin Peaks, CA. His hobbies included building projects, furniture refinishing, maintaining his mountain cabin built in Twin Peaks upon retirement, fishing and travel. Bill is survived by his wife Phyllis whom he would have been married to for 63 years on January 28th. Bill is also survived by his daughters Mary Ann Saulus of Dana Point, CA, Lynn Dunskey, of Temecula, CA, son Paul M. St. John of Long Beach, CA and 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Mae and Clayton St. John of Riverside, CA
