Donald Floyd Day, 83 of Ontario, CA passed away April 28, 2016. He was born April 14, 1933 and moved to Montclair, CA in 1956. Don worked as a millwright for Potlatch/Simpson Paper Company for 40 years. Upon his retirement, he and his wife Audrey moved to Banning, CA where they resided for 17 years. Don served in the Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Salem and was a member of the volunteer fire department for the City of Montclair for 12 years.
Don is survived by his wife of 63 years, Audrey Adaire Day, 5 children - Kimberly Madden, Terri Colvil (Gary), Mindy Buckmaster (Jeff), Tammi Simpson (Mike) and Donnie Day (Kris), his 13 grandchildren - Ryan, Adam (Breanna), David, Angie, Ami (Bryan), Sara (Ronnie), Michael, Jacob, Matt (Maddie), Jonathan, Samantha (Scott), Gracie and Matthew (Crystal), 5 great grandchildren - Taylen, Branden, Scarlette, Annabelle and Wesley, his 2 brothers - Gary Day (Pam) and Richard Day (Loretta), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd And Ethel Day.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at 12:45 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518. Please join us to celebrate Don's life in the Friendship Center at Inland Christian Home, 1950 S. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, CA 91762 at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 11, 2016.(Parking is available on Magnolia Avenue)
