Cynthia Ruth (Watkins) Grimm passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, after a battle with cancer. She was born on December 16, 1956, to Belva Mae (Howard) Watkins and Floyd Pierce Watkins in Los Angeles, California. Known as Cynthia, or "Cindy" to most, she will be remembered for her radiant spirit, generosity, and a contagious laugh that could fill a room.
Cindy enjoyed a 25-year career as a real estate agent and property manager, finding forever homes for hundreds of people. Before becoming a real estate agent, she worked for the Montclair Police Department, the Los Angeles Public Defender's Office, an answering service, Sergeant Fletcher's, and Job Corps. Though Cindy held various jobs throughout her life, the most important role to her was being the best mom she could be.
She had a deep love for her family and is survived by her three children: Christina Grimm-Petriccione (Christopher Petriccione), Stephen Grimm, and Gina Grimm; her siblings Ronald Watkins, Sandra Watkins, and Louisa Torres (John Torres); her beloved fur babies Chico, Willow, and Wilbur; and her fur grand-babies Morty, Eevee, and Wednesday.
Cindy loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening, sitting outside bird-watching, boogie boarding at the beach, and watching or attending Dodgers games. Though we have heavy hearts, we find solace in knowing that she is no longer in pain and is watching all of us with love in heaven, knowing one day we will get to see her again.
A memorial service for Cindy will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762, followed by a reception from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Cindy loved the color purple and bright colors. Feel free to wear bright and festive colors or whatever you feel comfortable in!
