Anthony A. Chavez

The proud son of Refugio and Rufina Chavez joined them in heaven Sunday, August 15th with his loved ones by his side. A lifetime resident of Ontario, CA. Always one for an adventure, Tony eloped with his love, Angelina at the age of 20. One year later they welcomed their only child Katherine. Tony and Flora were happily married for nearly 60 years.

Tony had an amazing work ethic and was a Foreman for Sunkist Growers for 38 years. He was also known for his devout love for the Catholic church. As a boy he often thought he would end up in the Priesthood. He also had a love for Elvis Presley, Las Vegas, Hawaii, but most of all his family. His biggest and most prized accomplishment. Tony is survived by his daughter Kathy, grandchildren, Chris and Erika, and great grandchildren, Damian, Nathan, Nora, and Daisy.

A visitation for Anthony will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762. A rosary service will occur Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at St. George Catholic Church, 325 West E Street, Ontario, CA 91762. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. George Catholic Church, 325 West E Street, Ontario, CA 91762. A burial will occur Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 West G Street, Ontario, CA 91762.
