Mary was expected at a young age to take care of her siblings. She very soon, married and had five children. As we look back she did what she could from home to be creative and bring money into the house. Whether it was sewing, babysitting, or selling plants from cuttings.
Mary was the best home cook and could make something from nothing. Us kids always had a dessert or snack to come home to after school.
Our mother had a hidden talent. She could yodel, not always our favorite thing when we were teenagers listening to pop music, not old timey stuff our mother liked. But as we got older it became very sweet to our ears.
Mary left behind her love of over 30 years, Nicholas Stilson, who took care of her when she needed it most. And us kids are far away. Mary’s legacy is 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind one brother, Larry Palmatier.
Our mother left this world as a very kind soul. Love You!
