G. Harry Schulte

He was born on March 8, 1935 in New Hyde Park, New York, the son of Gerhard and Cecilia (Fecker) Schulte. He graduated from Richmondville High School in 1953. In 1957, he became a member of the NY State Police, but was drafted into the Army in August of that year. He resumed his police duties in 1959 and served until his retirement in 1980. He then became an insurance adjuster. After retirement he pursued his passion for golf.

He is survived by his wife Betty (nee Brooker); a son, Kurt (Julie) of Oneonta, NY, and their children, Matthew, Laura (Eddie), and David (Taylor); a son, Michael (Melissa) of Laurens, NY, and their children, Jamie (Chris), Stevie (Scott), and Ashley (Evan); a son Alan of Fishers, IN; a daughter Donna of Albany, NY; 3 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 step great grandchild; his sister Angela; and brothers, Richard and Charles (Roselinda).

He was predeceased by his parents; his in laws, Edmond and Angela Brooker; his brothers, Lambertus (Helen), and Joseph (Margaret), and a sister, Clara (John).

Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 5-7pm at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10am at St. Mary's Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta.

Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
