Dennis Eldred

Dennis was born on June 3, 1948 to Carlton and Ella Eldred in Oneonta, New York, graduated from Oneonta High School in 1967, and went on to earn his BS degree from Cornell University in 1971. Dennis found his love of farming as a kid helping on his grandfather’s farm. In 1974 Dennis along with Diane and his brother Scott started Eldred Brothers Farm. With years of hard work and great people the farm became what is now Willet Dairy.

Along with farming Dennis enjoyed many other different ventures whether it be in business or people form. One place that Dennis found many of these ventures was in Guatemala. Over the years Dennis and Diane grew a second family in Guatemala that included a coffee plantation, a school and an orphanage. He always enjoyed seeing others grow and helping them accomplish their aspirations. He also had a love for art and getting to know the people behind the artwork.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Diane and their three children Peter (Tammie), Todd (Andrea) and Susan, and by grandchildren and great grandchildren Brooke (Skyler), Hunter, Sierra, Ryan, Makenna, Hudson and Elijah. He is also survived by his brother Scott (Donna). In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother Michael Eldred.
